The beautiful story of Abraham (Ibrahim in Arabic), Hagar (Hajar) and Ishmael (Islmael) have its place in the heart of every Muslim man or woman. The patriarch of monotheistic religions – Abraham – and his family are remembered during the yearly pilgrimage of Hajj for all Muslims in memory, utterance and physical replication of their story, their love, prayer and devotion to God.
For the Quran reminds us:
4:125. Who can be better in religion than one who submits his whole self to Allah, does good, and follows the way of Abraham the true in Faith? For Allah (God) did take Abraham for a friend (under His great love).
