A beautiful verse of Quran on charity in the way of Allah:

The parable of those who spend their substance in the way of Allah (the One God) is that of a grain, out of which groweth seven ears, and each ear Hath a hundred grains. Allah giveth manifold increase to whom He wills: And Allah careth for all and He knoweth all things. (Quran 2:261) Continue Reading

“Behold! in the creation of the heavens and the earth; in the alternation of the night and the day; in the sailing of the ships through the ocean for the profit of mankind; in the rain which Allah Sends down from the skies, and the life which He gives therewith to an earth that is dead; in the beasts of all kinds that He scatters through the earth; in the change of the winds, and the clouds which they trail like their slaves between the sky and the earth;- (Here) indeed are Signs for a people that are wise.” (Quran 2:164)

Leopold Weiss (Muhammad Asad) interpretation of this verse in his book The Message of the Quran goes as follows:

This Passage is one of the many in which the Quran appeals to “those who use their reason” (people that are wise), to observe the daily wonders of nature, including the evidence of man’s own ingenuity (“the sailing of the ships through the ocean”), as so many indications of a conscious, creative Power pervading the universe.

“(and) when My servants ask of Me, I am truly near (them): I head the call of every caller when he calls on Me. Let them also, with a will, listen to My call, and believe in Me: That they may walk in the right way.” (2:186)
