Proof the Bible promises coming of Muhammad: as told by Moses, David, John and Jesus

In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

According to the words of Moses (peace be upon him) and Jesus (pbuh), the Bible prophesies the coming of a prophet with many foretold attributes that allow men of faith to recognize and follow him. The Bible clearly demands that the people who believe in Moses and Jesus (peace be upon them) are required to believe

in him and believe in his message.

After studying the Biblical verses, it is evident to an unbiased person that “that prophet” who will complete the one religion of God unto mankind and complete the last chain of prophethood, is no other than prophet Muhammad (God’s peace and blessings be upon him).

As the Bible tells us the essentials of that prophet are as as follows:

  1. That Prophet would be from Moses “brethren”
  2. That prophet would be “like unto Moses”
  3. God would put His words in his mouth
  4. He would not speak any word of his own
  5. He shall speak in God’s name
  6. Jesus confirmed the coming of that prophet
  7. John “the baptists” confirmed the coming of that prophet
  8. Christ (Messiah) and “That Prophet” were two different individuals
  9. Jesus confirms to his disciples that mankind was not ready for the final Truth at his time
  10. Bible tells us God’s message and prophetic revelation will at last “shine forth” from Paran
  11. Paran (the valley of Becca) was the sacred area of Mecca in Arabia
  12. Jesus promised the coming of “ManAhma”
  13. “ManAhma” in Aramaic – spoken language of Christ – means “the Praised one”, “the Comforter”, “the Helper”
  14. Muhammad in Arabic – sister language of Aramaic – means “The Most Praised”
  15. Muhammad was also referred to as “Ahmad” , which in Arabic means “The Praised one”
  16. Muhammad was given the title of “Al-Amin” by his companions meaning “the Trustworthy one”
  17. That prophet should be able tell you of things to come, and if they do not come to happen according to the Bible that is false prophet.
  18. That prophet will proclaim praises of the One God; the same of Moses and Abraham.

1- Evidence of “That Prophet”

In Moses’ final and departing address to his people before his death, which forms the Biblical book of Deuteronomy, in chapter 18, God calls onto Moses and informs him of a prophet to come after him from his brethren, who is “like unto” him, and Moses announces this to his followers as follows:

(Deuteronomy 18:18-22)

18:18. I will raise up for them a prophet like onto you from among their brothers; I will put my words in his mouth, and he will tell them everything I command him, I will required it of him.

18:19. And it shall come to pass. If anyone does not listen to my words that the prophet speaks in my name, I myself will call him to account.

18:20. But a prophet who presumes to speak in my name anything I have not commanded him to say, or a prophet who speaks in the name of other gods, must be put to death.”

18:21. You may say to yourselves, “How can we know when a message has not been spoken by the LORD ?”

18:22. If what a prophet proclaims (events to come in the future) in the name of the LORD does not take place or come true, that is a message the LORD has not spoken. That prophet has spoken presumptuously. Do not be afraid of him.

The above was long time after death of prophet Abraham (pbuh) . God’s promise to send the long-awaited Messenger was clear and evident in Moses’ words.

So who is that prophet, promised by God, that Moses spoke of? Was he truly Muhammad?

A- From among the Israelite’s “brethren” who were Isaac’s decedents

This is a reference to the Ishmaelite, descendents of Ishmael, as Ishmael was the older son of Abraham and half brother of Isaac. It is interesting that Ishmael was himself explicitly promised to become a “great nation” in the Bible by God, which will be shown later in this article. The promised prophet will be from the brethren of the Israelites.

There are no two groups or tribes of people in history that may be called the brethren of one another more so than the Israelites (the “Jews”) and the Ishmaelites (the Arabs). As explained above, not only because the Israelites are the descendants of Isaac, and the Arabs are the descendants of Ishmael, the older brother of Isaac, but also in their similarity of customs, similarity of languages, their geographical area of their dwellings and even similarity between many of their religious laws, which are more or less evident to this day.

Had this reference been made to Isaac’s own decedents, one would assume that it would be much more appropriate for the message to use the term “from your own blood” or “your own children” or “from your own descendants” . However, this is not the case, the “their brethren” to Israelites are explicitly referred in this context.

B- More important in this reference is that he will be a prophet like unto Moses.

There were hardly any two prophets, who were so much alike as Moses and Muhammad.

  • Both had natural births.
  • Moses and Muhammad both were raised by other than their parents.
  • Moses and Muhammad both were of noble families.
  • Moses and Muhammad were both Shepherds.
  • Muhammad received the God’s revelation at age of forty while Moses stayed as a shepherd for forty years before becoming a prophet.
  • Moses and Muhammad were rejected first and then accepted as prophets of God and statesmen by the masses of oppressed people and eventually some of their enemies.
  • Moses and Muhammad both brought many people out of idolatry to worshiping the One God.
  • Both spoke firmly, confirming and demanding their followers to believe in the same God that Abraham believed in.
  • Moses and Muhammad were both given comprehensive law and codes of life.
  • Moses and Muhammad both migrated from their dwelling cities and exiled from their communities following conspiracies to assassinate them.
  • They both encountered their enemies and were victorious in miraculous ways.
  • Both passed away from natural causes.

This is not the case with Moses and Jesus. Jesus came confirming the laws and codes of life that Moses brought and barely gave any new codes of life.

The Jews at the time of Jesus (pbuh) did believe in the One God, but had omitted many fundamental teachings of Moses (pbuh) from their religion and forgotten the good part of the message. Similarities between Moses and Jesus overlook not only the above between Moses and Muhammad but also other crucial ones as well.

The family, life and natural death of Moses and Muhammad were not like that of Jesus. Even though the Quran tells us that the Jews fail to kill him, he did not die nor was he crucified; he was still regarded by some of his followers as the “Son of God” and not exclusively a messenger of God. The Muslims, however, regard all three as central prophets of God. Moreover, as will be shown later, Jesus (pbuh) himself promised of one “helper” or “comforter” that will complete his word and the message of God after him.

C- “he shall speak in my name”: another convincing proof

Interestingly, 113 chapters out of 114 chapters of the holy Quran starts with the statement of “In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful”. The only chapter that does not start with this statement, and God himself knows best why, has such exact statement within its body text. So in reality every chapter of the holy Quran is recited in the name of the creator of the heavens and earth and “all that is in between them”. This is not the case in any other religious scripture. Therefore figuratively and literally prophet Muhammad (pbuh) did speak every verse of the Quran in the name of God.

D- a sign: what he proclaims in the name of God must come to pass

There many historical prophecies, found within the holy Quran which have taken shape in reality so accurately and precisely that it is hard to believe this book would be the work of any human being. One of which is the preservation of the body of Pharaoh who pursued Moses into the sea; about which the Quran references God’s words at the time during which Pharaoh was taking his last breathes.

10:92 – Today We shall preserve your body that you may be a sign to those after you: although most men give no heed to Our signs.

It is almost impossible for anyone at the time of Muhammad or much later times to have known that particular Pharaoh’s body would finally drift to shore and be mummified, the same Pharaoh, who is now laying within a museum glass box for people to see; a historical achievements, which scientists and archeologists have only attained in the past 150 years.

Different texts claim many of the same historical events at different times and with varying details. Historical argument is one of the hotly debated topics amongst history enthusiasts and scholars, however, there are certain events whose details were not known at the time (~1400 years ago) when the Quran was revealed to Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), specially to the Bedouin and nomad Arabs of the far deserts.

Much like the very many scientific evidences of the Quran, more and more each day scholars are adding to the historical proofs of this text.

Moreover, aside from prophecies within the Quranic verses, prophet Muhammad (pbuh) predicted many future events that have come to pass and many others that are shaping closer to reality as each day passes by. He also claimed this to be inspired by God and never proclaimed any of it to be of his own power.

2- John “the baptist” (pbuh) confirmed the coming of “that prophet”

The prophecies of “that prophet” will get even more convincing when reading and considering the New Testament.

From the time when Moses (pbuh) publicized the message of God in Deuteronomy 18:18, and up to the time of Jesus (pbuh), the Israelites were still in anticipation of for that prophet “like unto Moses”.

The evidence comes in from none other than John “the Baptists” (pbuh) who is an important figure in Christianity today and is considered a prophet of God in Islam. It is known that he used to retreat for long periods of time to the desert for prayer and fasting. His character as well as his political, religious and social teachings had attracted the attention of many Jews. In the gospel of John we read that the Israelites send their Priests and Levites from Jerusalem to question him about who he really was.

They asked him if he was Christ and John responded to them “no”.

They asked him if he was (prophet) Elias and he said “no”.

Then, in an evident reference to Deuteronomy 18:18, the Jews asked him “Art thou that Prophet” and John once again answered, “no”. Clearly indicating that Christ (Messiah) and “that prophet” were two different people to be sent by God.

(John 1: 19-21).

1:19. And this is the record of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, Who art thou?

1:20.And he confessed, and denied not; but confessed, I am not the Christ.

1:21. And they asked him, What then? Art thou Elias (Elija)? And he saith, I am not. Art thou that prophet? And he answered, No.

1:22.Then said they unto him, Who art thou? that we may give an answer to them that sent us. What sayest thou of thyself?

1:23.He said, I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord, as said the prophet Esaias (Isaiah).

After John the Baptist identifies himself in evasive terms, the Pharisees persisted by inquiring,

1:29. Why do you baptize if you are not the Christ, nor Elijah, nor the Prophet?

“Elijah,” “the Christ,” and “the Prophet” mentioned not just once as in a mistake but twice as a confirmation.

3- God’s revelation came from Sinai, rose up from seir and Shined forth from mount Paran

Moreover, Deuteronomy 33:1-2, implicitly unites references to Moses, Jesus and Muhammad (peace be upon them all). It shows how the missions of all these great prophets had one purpose and were linked to one another by God’s decision. It speaks of God (i.e. God’s revelation) coming from Sinai, which is a clear reference to Moses (pbuh), then rising from Seir, which was likely the village of Sa’ir near Jerusalem, and relating to Jesus (pbuh) and finally shining forth from Paran, the land where Muhammad (pbuh) was born.

And this is the blessing, wherewith Moses the man of God blessed the children of Israel before his death. (Deuteronomy 33:1)

And he said, The LORD came from Sinai, and rose up from Seir unto them; he shined forth from mount Paran, and he came with ten thousands of saints: from his right hand went a fiery law for them. (Deuteronomy 33:2)

And that is exactly what happened, the first comprehensive and clear code of life was given to Moses (pbuh) with clear proofs from God. However, over the years peoples hearts were hardened and the Jews forgot the good part of God’s message.

By the command of God, Jesus (pbuh) came to re-energize His message and show them the part of the Truth they did not know and the part of which they used to deny.

Finally Muhammad (pbuh) took the torch that was passed on to him. It is also important to note that the passage referring to mount Paran and “ten thousands of saints” also took place in reality; as Muhammad and ten thousands of his followers who had embraced the message of Islam migrated back to Mecca from exile, Medina, and took the city back from the idolaters, oppressors and people who committed many crimes against them. They did this without a single drop of blood and by the prophet’s command forgave them all.

4- Ishmael to be a great nation and Paran the land of his descendants

Just to be sure whether or not Paran was actually referred to Mecca, one can read the book of Genesis 21, when Abraham, due to the jealousy of his wife Sarah and by the command of God takes his infant child Ishmael and his other wife, Hagar to “Paran”. It is a well known fact that Abraham settle in Mecca with his wife Hagar and first son Ishmael for sometime, while Hagar and Ishmael stayed there forever.

(Genesis 21:9-21)

21-9. And Sarah saw the son of Hagar the Egyptian, which she had born unto Abraham, mocking.

21-10. Wherefore she said unto Abraham, Cast out this bondwoman and her son: for the son of this bondwoman shall not be heir with my son, even with Isaac.

21-11. And the thing was very grievous in Abraham’s sight because of his son.

21-12. And God said unto Abraham, Let it not be grievous in thy sight because of the lad, and because of thy bondwoman; in all that Sarah hath said unto thee, hearken unto her voice; for in Isaac shall thy seed be called.

21-13. And also of the son of the bondwoman will I make a nation, because he is thy seed.

21-14. And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and took bread, and a bottle of water, and gave it unto Hagar, putting it on her shoulder, and the child, and sent her away: and she departed, and wandered in the wilderness of Beersheba.

21-15. And the water was spent in the bottle, and she cast the child under one of the shrubs.

21-16. And she went, and sat her down over against him a good way off, as it were a bow shot: for she said, Let me not see the death of the child. And she sat over against him, and lift up her voice, and wept.

21-17. And God heard the voice of the lad; and the angel of God called to Hagar out of heaven, and said unto her, What aileth thee, Hagar? fear not; for God hath heard the voice of the lad where he is.

21-18. Arise, lift up the lad, and hold him in thine hand; for I will make him a great nation.

21-19. And God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water; and she went, and filled the bottle with water, and gave the lad drink.

21-20. And God was with the lad; and he grew, and dwelt in the wilderness, and became an archer.

21-21. And he dwelt in the wilderness of Paran: and his mother took him a wife out of the land of Egypt.

5- Isaiah’s verses about a beloved of God: a descendant of Kedar

Also Isaiah in 42:1-13, refers and talks about someone who is beloved to God.

He is mentioned to be from descendants of Kedar.

But who was Kedar?

According to Genesis 25:13, Kedar was in fact the second son of Ishmael and a direct ancestors of the tribes in Arabia from which eventually Muhammad (pbuh) was born.

Again from these verse we find convincing evidence that the Jews of the time were expecting a prophet from descendants of Ishmael and Kedar, who will bring a law and who will be “like onto Moses”.

42:1. Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles.

42:2. He shall not cry, nor lift up, nor cause his voice to be heard in the street.

42:3. A bruised reed shall he not break, and the smoking flax shall he not quench: he shall bring forth judgment unto truth.

42:4. He shall not fail nor be discouraged, till he have set judgment in the earth: and the isles shall wait for his law.

42:5. Thus saith God the LORD, he that created the heavens, and stretched them out; he that spread forth the earth, and that which cometh out of it; he that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein:

42:6. the LORD have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles;

**42:11. Let the wilderness and the cities thereof lift up their voice, the villages that Kedar doth inhabit: let the inhabitants of the rock sing, let them shout from the top of the mountains.

42:12. Let them give glory unto the LORD, and declare his praise in the islands.

42:13. The LORD shall go forth as a mighty man, he shall stir up jealousy like a man of war: he shall cry, yea, roar; he shall prevail against his enemies.

The description of this beloved one so closely matches all of what we know about Muhammad (pbuh), what he did, what he preached and how he was treated during his prophethood

6- Jesus tells them that “The Kingdom of God shall be taken away from you”

Furthermore, in Matthew 21:19-21, Jesus (pbuh) speaks of the fruitless fig tree, which is a Biblical symbol of prophetic heritage, to be cleared after being given a last chance of three years, which was oddly enough the duration of Jesus’ ministry, to give fruit.

In a later verse in the same chapter, Jesus said: “Therefore, say I unto you, The Kingdom of God shall be taken away from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruit thereof” (Matthew 21:43).

(Matthew 21:17-43)

21:17. And he left them, and went out of the city into Bethany; and he lodged there.

21:18. Now in the morning as he returned into the city, he hungered.

21:19. And when he saw a fig tree in the way, he came to it, and found nothing thereon, but leaves only, and said unto it, Let no fruit grow on thee henceforward for ever. And presently the fig tree withered away.

21:20. And when the disciples saw it, they marvelled, saying, How soon is the fig tree withered away!

7- Jesus tells the coming of “Munahma” meaning The Comforter or The Helper

If we are allowed to revisit the Bible, in the Gospel of John (Chapters 14, 15, 16) Jesus spoke of the “Paraclete” or the “Comforter” or the “Helper” who will come after him:

1- who will be sent by Father as another Paraclete

2- who will teach new things which the contemporaries of Jesus could not bear at his time

These show that Jesus could not pass on the entire Truth to his followers for humanity was not ready to “bear them then”:

John 16:12. I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.

This confirms the Quranic teaching which states that it has been God’s will and mercy to have revealed the Truth (part of “The Book”) to mankind stage by stage, (each stage of revelation, however, perfect for its own time), through many of His messengers for man to comprehend and understand it, for “knowledge beyond a man’s understanding is like poison to his mind”

Indeed the holy Quran is full with descriptions of divinity, detail explanation of heaven and hell, detail stories of other prophets, a convincing explanation of the purpose of life on earth and detail guidance for man; all beyond anything one could find in any other religious scripture.

(John 16:5-14)

16:5. But now I go my way to him that sent me; and none of you asketh me, Whither goest thou?

16:6. But because I have said these things unto you, sorrow hath filled your heart.

16:7. Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter (i.e. ManAhma in Aramaic) will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.

16:8. And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:

16:9. Of sin, because they believe not on me;

16:10. Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more;

16:11. Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.

16:12. I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.

16:13. Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

16:14. He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

Moreover, the “Paraclete”, which is also referred to as the comforter, whose meaning resemble that of Ahmad, short form for Muhammad, which also the Arabic meaning of “the praised one” and “the comforter” and his famous title Ahmad, “Al-Amin”, meaning the Trustworthy One given to him by his companions, as well as Muhammad meaning “the MOST praised”.

The Paraclete is identified in one translation as the Holy Spirit (John 14:26). Such a designation is however inconsistent with the profile of that Paraclete. In the words of the Dictionary of the Bible, (Ed. J. Mackenzie), he describes translations of ManAmah into forms of spirit as: “These items, it must be admitted do not give an entirely coherent picture”.

Moreover, by the will of God, Jesus was strengthened with the Holy Sprit, about which the Quran tells us, was indeed the power of Angel Gabriel. This is in contradiction with addressing the Paraclete as the “spirit of truth”, since Jesus (pbuh) himself proclaimed that if “he doesn’t go, the paraclete cannot be come”, yet the holy spirit was with him and strengthened him then.

Certainly history tells us that many early Christians, mostly Gnostic Christians of earlier times, understood the “Paraclete” to be a man and not a spirit.

Most interestingly, the word “Paraclete” in Aramaic, which was the spoken language of Jesus (pbuh), is pronounced as “ManAhma”. Aramaic is a sister language of Arabic and many words are quite similar between them. It is easy to see that Muhammad, or Ahmad, was truly the person Jesus was referring to when he prophesied the coming of “ManAhma”.

It was Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) who “reproved the world of sin and of righteous and of Judgment”. It was prophet Muhammad (pbuh) who was the Paraclete, Comforter, helper, admonisher sent by God after Jesus (pbuh). And as Jesus himself, for told, Mohammad (pbuh) “glorified” Jesus (pbuh), by the will of God told the truth about Jesus and he testified of Jesus (pbuh). It was Muhammad (pbuh) who taught new principles and spoke of the final truth about the eternal life, which could not be born at Jesus’ time.

John 16:13. Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

Remember the same words as spoken by Moses (pbuh) in Deuteronomy 18:18! the same descriptions and the same signs are given here by Jesus (pbuh)

18:18. I will raise up for them a prophet like onto you from among their brothers; I will put my words in his mouth, and he will tell them everything I command him, I will required it of him.

18:19. And it shall come to pass. If anyone does not listen to my words that the prophet speaks in my name, I myself will call him to account.

As was prophesied by Moses in Deuteronomy 18:18 and retold by Jesus in John 16:13, Muhammad spoke only and exactly word for word of what angel Gabriel passed onto him from God in the Quran. He did not claim to be the author of the Quran and nor did he claim to bring concept of any new “god”. It is interesting that Muhammad’s own sayings, which could be thought of as “his gospel”, but in reality known as his “Hadiths” are complied in different books, which are completely different in literary form, structure and lack the unparallel beauty, eloquence and uniqueness of the Quran.

What he simply passed on in the form of the holy Quran has remained in its original language and form, word for word, letter for letter and vowel for vowel . Muhammad was the last messenger of God, the only Universal Messenger to unite the whole of humanity under God and on the path of “preserved” truth.

He told of many things to come which “came to pass” in the finest of detail, the criterion given by Moses to distinguish between the true prophet and the false prophets (Deuteronomy 18:22).

He did reprove the world of sin, of righteousness and of judgement (John 16:8-11)

8- Could such prophecies of Muhammad (pbuh) be coincidence or otherwise logical?

One has to ask a fundamental question:

was all this an out of context coincidence?

Could it be possible that these numerous prophecies cited here are all individually and collectively be out of context misinterpretations?

Or is it, on the other hand, logical to conclude that the opposite is true? That in fact these infrequently studied verses fit together consistently and clearly point to the arrival of a simple man, a prophet of God, who changed the course of human history.

Is it more logical to conclude that, even with all the additions and subtraction of the Bible by man throughout history, prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was the promised one in the Bible and it has remained so?

Is it not logical to conclude that he was the last torchbearer of the same Truth that all other great prophets before him carried?

9- Christian Testimonies

David Benjamin Keldani, BD, a former Roman Catholic priest of the Uniate-Chaldean sect after accepting Islam in his book ‘Muhammad in the Bible.’ writes about this prophecy:

“If these words do not apply to Muhammad, they still remain unfulfilled. Jesus himself never claimed to be the prophet alluded to. Even his disciples were of the same opinion: they looked to the second coming of Jesus for the fulfillment of the prophecy (Acts 3: 17-24). So far it is undisputed that the first coming of Jesus was not the advent of the Prophet like unto thee and his second advent can hardly fulfill the words. Jesus, as is believed by his Church, will appear as a Judge and not as a law-giver; but the promised one has to come with a “fiery law” in his right hand.”

He also writes:

“My conversion to Islam cannot be attributed to any cause other than the gracious direction of the Almighty Allah. Without this Divine guidance all learning, search and other efforts to find the Truth may even lead one astray. The moment I believed in the Absolute Unity of God, His holy Apostle Muhammad became the pattern of my conduct and behavior.”

“I must remind the Christians that unless they believe in the absolute unity of God, and renounce the belief in the three persons, they are certainly unbelievers in the true God … The Old Testament and the Quran condemn the doctrine of three persons in God; the New Testament does not expressly hold or defend it, but even if it contains hints and traces concerning the Trinity, it is no authority at all, because it was neither seen nor written by Christ himself, nor in the language he spoke, nor did it exist in its present form and contents for – at least – the first two centuries after him.”

In conclusion:

For twenty-three years, God’s words (the Quran) were truly put into Muhammad’s mouth and every time he opened his mouth to speak a word from the Quran, he did so in God’s name as all Muslims do to this day:

“In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful”.

He was not the “author” of the Quran. Over the course of 23 years, the Quran was dictated to him by angel Gabriel who asked Muhammad to simply repeat the words of the Quran as he heard them.

These words were then memorized by Muhammad as well as many of his followers and also preserved in writing by those who hear them during Muhammad’s lifetime and under his supervision.

Was it a coincidence that the prophet “like unto Moses” from the “brethren” of the Israelites (the lshmaelites) was also described as one in whose mouth God will put his words and that he will speak in the name of God, (Deuteronomy 18:18-20).

Was it also a coincidence the “Paraclete” (the comforter, the helper originally known as “ManAhma” that Jesus foretold to come after Him was described as one who “shall not speak of himself, but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak” (John 16:13)

It could not have been a mere coincidence. That Isaiah ties between the messenger connected with Ke’dar (the second son of Ishmael) and a new song (a scripture in a new language) to be sang unto the Lord (Isaiah 42:10-11). More explicitly, prophesies Isaiah “For with stammering lips, and another tongue, will he speak to this people” (Isaiah 28:11).

A verse correctly describes the “stammering lips” of Prophet Muhammad reflecting the state of tension and concentration he went through at the time of revelation. Another related point is that the Qur’an was revealed in segments over a span of twenty three years. It is interesting to compare this with Isaiah 28:10 which speaks of the same thing.

And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him. (Deuteronomy 18:19)

Finally it is interesting that the Quran confirms of what Jesus told his disciples in John 16:7 about the coming of ManAhma “the comforter”. When referring to what Jesus (pbuh) said to his disciples about Muhanmad, it is amazing and eye-opening that the Quran, itself, uses the title of “Ahmad” or the trustworthy one to address Muhammad (pbuh). This is this the only instance in which the holy Quran that prophet Muhammad is refereed to by is title or short-name “Ahmad” – “the comforter”, “the praised one” as said by Jesus (pbuh).

The Holy Quran

61:6. And remember, Jesus, the son of Mary, said: “O Children of Israel! I am the apostle of Allah (sent) to you, confirming the Law (which came) before me, and giving Glad Tidings of an Messenger to come after me, whose name shall be Ahmad.” But when he came to them with Clear Signs, they said, “this is evident sorcery!”

Lets pray that the light of truth shine in all our hearts and minds.

May the Truth from our Lord, our creator, our king, our One God lead all of us to peace, and our guided actions bring much reward in this life and an eternal bliss in hereafter.

Amen!
